Privacy Policy
What we collect when you book, how your images and story are handled, and how to change your mind at any point.
This policy is a working draft provided as a starting point and is not legal advice. PAST SOLES should have it reviewed, and confirm its data controller details and ICO registration position, before trading.
What we collect
When you request an assessment we collect your name, email address and, if you provide them, your phone number and postcode. We also collect what you tell us about the pair and, optionally, the story behind it.
We collect photographs you send us, and we create before-and-after condition images of your shoes as part of the service.
Why we use it
To assess your pair, quote accurately, carry out the work, arrange collection and return, and send you your before-and-after record.
We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Images and stories
Condition images are created for every pair and shared with you. Publishing images, publishing your story, and filming are separate permissions you grant or decline individually when you book.
If you grant a permission and later change your mind, email us and we will remove the material from our own channels. Content already reshared by third parties may be outside our control.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and job records are kept only as long as needed for the work, for our records, and to meet any legal obligations.
Condition images are retained as a record of the work. If you have granted no publishing permission, they are not used publicly.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may request access to your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it.
To make a request, or to withdraw a permission, email us and we will respond within one month.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. If privacy-respecting analytics are added in future, this page will be updated before they go live.
